Fuel leak in the steel keel tank

When the boatyard recently moved SV Oceandrifter, the aft edge of the keel collided with obstacle, nicking the paint and causing a pinhole leak!

About 400 litres of diesel drained out (and was collected)

This was perhaps a happy accident - the boat is new to me and I was still working on repairing the 26 holes in the steel hull and deck. The boat, a Chevrier 36, is extremely well constructed with galvanized steel decks and stainless steel cockpit, as well as heavy winches and a 60 HP Perkins.

I'm making a series of videos showing the damage, investigation, repairs and what's been learned.
