Here is something you may have seen in your search:
I purchased a heritage west indies 38 in 2001 and did a major
renovation on it. I am very impressed with the quality of the construction and the design by charlie
Morgan. The
boat is a cruising
boat which is not fast in light air but
sails well in moderate to heavy air. Built like a tank with heavy solid
fiberglass construction. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good cruising boat with lots of room and two staterooms with two private heads. The
hull stiffeners do rust but can be repaired although I don''t think
repairs are generally necessary.
