Pearson 39-2 Sailing characteristics and opinons

I am looking at upgrading to a 36-39 foot boat to use primarily as a coastal cruiser in the pacific northwest and to southeast Alaska. I want a vessel with good windward abilities and one that if comfortable enough in a seaway and will back in a marina. 50-80K price range depending on the improvements done. I prefer models with an aft stateroom or at least a nice double quarter berth. I'm considering a 1987 Pearson 39-2 but can't find out much info on them besides the Perry review based on reviewing the picture and specs. anyone with personal experience of this vessel would be helpful.

Hi Ken,

If you don't get any feedback here there's a Pearson owner forum on facebook you could try.
