Older Beneteau (1985) but with New 85 HP Yanmar Diesel (2011) runs good.
needs some TLC, but a nice and comfortable boat to move around in.

Flagged German. current location Cartagena, Colombia.
I've acquired the boat 2 years ago as a trade in so not much sailing experience on it.

Boat was hauled out last year and inspected for blistering, none found. new antifouling paint was applied and boat was splashed again.
been sitting in marina since.
it has a VHF radio but that's pretty much it. the GPS plotter got fried by saltwater and other then that it has a Raymarine autopilot which I haven't gotten to work yet (tried to get the pump fixed here in Colombia but probably better off just getting a new one)
It has an 110v AirConditioning unit, the fridge is runs on 110v only so a charger / inverter is recommended but not on board.
The floorboards are tired and several hatches don't close properly anymore.
the vertical windows are leaky and need to be re-sealed.
because of the leaky vertical windows some cabin paneling may need to be replaced or removed (moldy)
The vessel has one mainsail stored in a cabin down below that looks reasonable, I checked stitches visible and couldn't rub the threads out yet. maybe different in other spots so assume it needs some restitching.
4 headsails in the front, one of which I know is shredded, the other three seem to be in working condition.
The running rig has been unused in the sun for over two years now, so assume it needs replacing.
The standing rig was visually inspected where I could reach. some superficial rust spots are there but it has no loose strands as of yet. see pictures. inspection is recommended by professional rigger or knowledgeable buyer.
Ruddercables were found badly corroded from not being used / maintained, will be replaced with new cables prior to sale by current owner.
Engine was just now serviced, all new fluids and filters. Bottom cleaned by diver as well.
the boat has three equal cabins with a double berth and private head each.
there is a crewcabin in the bow accessible through a large hatch on deck.

I've actually acquired this boat as a trade in on another larger motorsailor I sold, and I haven't gotten around to start upgrading this one as I have a 132' motoryacht that I have refitted since as well.

Be aware this boat needs a handy sailor who is not afraid to get dirty hands. all in all it is a good boat though, especially for this price. if I had the time i'd spend 4 - 6 weeks and get her in tiptop shape, unfortunately I really don't.

The white pillows in the pictures have been re-upholstered, they're navy-blue now

Price is 28.000 USD

the boat came with Panamanian paperwork stating it was a Cyclades. we've just taken that over in the german registry.

it is to date still unclear if it is correct though. none of the 1985 models had the open sugarscoop transom our boat has so we can't really give a clear answer. the layout comes most close to the Beneteau Idylle of those years.

Does it have VAT paid in Europe?

It doesn't look like Idylle (different ports and galley), but maybe they made different models. A photo of the transom would help. Thanks in advance!

i'll be in Cartagena tomorrow afternoon, will try to post some detailed transom pics.

No VAT paid in Europe, nor anywhere else for that matter I think :-)
not sure about the different tax rules, I know that in Greece boats of these ages are relieved of VAT

The HIN number molded into the transom should give you enough info to confirm year and model. The info to decipher the coding is available on line (I don't have the link)..
