buying new boat in europe - tax exemption for equipment

Hello,
as us citizen buying new boat in Europe (France), the boat itself will be exported so no issue for the taxes.

However, there is a need to buy lots of extra (small or large) equipment, and i was wondering how the tax will work in this case.
Would you have to buy and pay taxes first and then get it re-imburse when the boat leaves the European water, or if there is a way to pay suppliers without taxes to start with.

Anyone had experience on this ?

thanks
