U.S. West Coast sailors , Have you seen?

I came across this page and am curious if you western sailors have come upon radiation deformed sea creatures or an increase in dead ones?

Re: U.S. West Coast sailors , Have you seen?

It's called an unusual mortality event (UME). The California sea lion is the second most common animal to be involved in a UME in the U.S., after the bottlenose dolphin. NOAA thinks this UME is related to prey source availability, but only about half (32) of the 62 documented UMEs that have occurred since 1991 have had a cause pinpointed. The majority of recent UMEs have been related to domoic acid, which is produced by a naturally occurring diatom and is currently affecting our Dungeness crab season. Murres and cormorants are also dying in large numbers.

Take a closer look at the page you referenced. Theres some stuff about aliens and animal mutilation.
I would reconsider the source

Check with the people at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. If anything's up, they would know.

Seriously, if you give any credence to that article, your head must zip up at the back.

Did you guys click on that link....? That seems like a good way to hook up to a virus. You can copy and paste the words in a new tab and Google the words. Based on what pops up in the search engine was enough for me to see there was no there there.

Ergo the asked question of folks who sail out that way, I love the way folks toss around insults through the anonymity of a keyboard
