Visit ? island in Croatia?

My husband and I are in our 60's, renting a sailboat and would like to have any recommendations for islands to visit along the Croatian coast. We will be leaving from Seget Donjii the end of September.

Assuming you're chartering, Pam, your charter company will probably supply you with a suggested itinerary.

If you want to do a bit of research yourself, I suggest you explore the World Cruising Wiki at http://www.cruiserswiki.org/wiki/Croatia, starting with the South Dalmatia islands section. Exploring all those would keep you busy for at least a month, so you may be looking at just the ones closest to Trogir, your charter base.

In Croatia you have a thousand islands to choose from! A lot depends on how much time you have, what you are looking for and the pace you want.

One of our favourite places in Croatia is not island but an estuary in the mainland: Skradin. We also greatly enjoyed the island of Mljet.

The medieval towns are also lovely: Trogir, Split, Korcula and Hvar. If you have time you should visit Dubrovnik in the south. In the north you have Pula where you have views of a Roman stadium from the marina. Now how cool is that!
