Baja to San Francisco

Is there EVER a good time to sail north along the Baja California coast? Baja to San Francisco? By a “good time”,I mean time of year. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I helped take a boat up from Cabo to Ensenada this last January/February. Took about 7 days at ~5knots.Timed for minimum contrary wind & current -- max wind north of the cape was about 10 knots. several days it was so calm you could see the reflection of the mountains in the ocean... Except for one day the swell was very minimal.
This October/November we plan to finish the trip to San Francisco, planning for minimum wind again.
