Pet Permit for Bahamas

Looking for advice, we wanted to leave for the Bahamas fro Key Largo in a couple days. But we are waiting for our pet permit. It's been a week we have gone with a person that does the application for you and says it would take 1 to 2 weeks. But another couple we met are in the same situation and it's been over 2 weeks and almost 3 weeks.

Anyways to expedite this? even if I would fly there? lol
