Hmmm, beating for a couple weeks in cold spray, fog or the occasional gale for some salmon, clams and oysters.... OK! sounds good. I'll be right there.

Re: columbia defender hull #60

Update yesterday I spent a hundred bucks on refit parts. And a winter project.
It runs good and has 305 and 310 psi in the Cylinders specs are 285 to 340 . starts easy and idles great. Just needs cleaned and painted before I install it.

Sorry Don it's a trade secret. But it does make me happy that you are so enamored with the refit.

Well post up some updated photos of the old girl when you can. I will be picking my 29 up in a few weeks and cannot wait. I know she's in rough shape but just can be any more excited regardless.

I love these old boats, the defender is so practical with the flush deck.

And yes the flush deck is great. An excellent and safe platform offshore .
( other boat is an islander bahama 24.)

That's funny, the first boat we put an offer on before our Columbia 29 was a wayfarer Bahama 24. Great little boat, fit our needs honestly since it had the two quarter births and the outboard well that I like. But the head room ended up being a deal breaker since my wife and I are both about 6 foot. Although I still wonder if maybe we shouldn't have grabbed it.

I missed out on an islander 30 a year ago, it was beautiful. Loved that flush deck design. Oh well. By the way, you have any photos of your Bahama 24?
