That would be my first guess too.

How long before insurance would declare a total loss?

The Panhandle of Fl?

I have no idea who, none at all. Just a sailboat is an odd thing to steal.
Keys left In the start panel?

Makes you consider a hidden disabler switch?

Re: BOLO for Stolen Beneteau Panama City, FL.

Years ago someone tried to steal a 64' powerboat on S Lake Union. Did a ton of damage but never made it out of the marina.

Then a couple years ago someone tried to do the same thing at Queen City, I talked to people who were there. Everyone stood around watching the perp hit multiple boats, until an elderly fellow (read vet) came out of his vessel with a shotgun and filled his ass with birdshot. Problem solved!! Cops said he should get a medal.

I got work out of both of these incidents. Boat crime is apparently only good for the yards! Bet this one is found aground yet...

Re: BOLO for Stolen Beneteau Panama City, FL.

Actually, I found quite a few instances of stolen (and sometimes found) boats...
I found 6 recent (2012 and up) thefts in the Mediterranean.

Be careful, boats can be stolen way more easily than we think...

The Mediterranean is quite a big range between St Tropez and Benghazi...

Yup. You're right. Should have been more precise.
I found 3 instances of stolen boats in the South of France (1 was recovered in Greece, another in Madagascar, another a few miles down the coast).
Other instances of theft are in Spain and Portugal. But can't seem to find whether they've been recovered or not.
