Smile Tampa Area daysail crew available

Boatless Sailor looking for his sealegs.....my wife and I are both experienced sailors (ASA Bareboat, USCG OUPV license, etc) but we are without a boat at the moment. We work M-F but are looking for anyone in need of competent crew for some day or weekend sailing. I also have experience in J80 racing and would love to get back into it.
PLEASE don't hesitate to contact. hank393@hotmail.com Thanks, Hank and Bridget.

What kind of boat did you have? Where have you been sailing?

Re: Tampa Area daysail crew available

Im Navy that just moved out from Monterey, California. Never owned (we are looking now..) but we belonged to a yacht club that had an 18 boat stable that we could choose from, ranging from 22ft Catalinas to 44ft Beneteaus. We mostly stuck with a 34ft Catalina that was really easy to takeout. Now we are just looking to get back out on the water.

For the moment you might want to look at (click on) Tampa Bay Sailing. Joining the group will give you a chance to get on the water and the opportunity to compare various boats.

FWIW...

Re: Tampa Area daysail crew available

I am in Tampa. If you are interested in racing big and small boats I race on a Tripp 26 out of DIYC and this coming weekend it will be the St. Petersburg NOODs Fri-Sun. Although the wind forecast looks like nothing. I don't know of any boats looking for crew but, you can post on their site. I am a member of Tampa Sailing Squadron and we just had their 53rd Gasparilla Regatta sponsored by Mount Gay and it was a great time. You may also be able to sneak aboard a boat going to Cuba at the end of the month out of SPYC and they also have their Isla mujeras race. The St. Pete sailing center also has boats to take out and I think they just got a fleet of J70's?

If you are interested in small boats and confined area Clearwater Community Sailing Center on Sand Key is a great place for taking Hobies and small boats out on Clearwater Harbor.
