1st time cape cod canal

There are so many sites and threads trying to explain the best time for transit. I think I understand but wanted one last check from the experts hear. Leaving from Onset Thurs. AM. Slack is 5:29 and flood begins. Max. flood is 8:28. We plan to leave Onset between 7-7:30. Anyone see a problem with this?

Yes. That looks correct. It is about 45 minutes through with current IIRC. The forecast looks like a bit of a northerly when you exit. Could be some standing waves and a little bumpy on the way out. I've seen them at the other way, exiting into Buzzards Bay. At the east end you can get out of them pretty quickly. Exiting into Buzzards Bay it can be a long slog straight into the teeth of the SW.

What kind of boat do you have and where are you headed after you get through.
