Cruising equipped 32-36 ft in Texas<40k

Remember the Islander 36 Hurulu? I'm looking for something similar (classic, proven design and well equipped) for Gulf of Mexico to Mexico and Bahamas. Upgrades and recent updates good. I'm keeping my budget for the boat under $40k. I do not want to dump an immediate stack of boat bucks to refit or repair. I have had 3 sailboats and am not around to waste anyone's time. Shoal draft. Preferably in Houston area. Not looking to equip a dock condo. I'm not rounding the horn but am crossing the gulf. Cash in hand.

Check this out... If you don't like the engine type, you can always put a rebuild in for $2500 and be good to go entirely and still WAY under budget. Just saying.

That looks good. I've got a contract on something now though. Thanks.

Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 cruised central America and Mexico for 5 years. Price higher than you wanted at 68,000 but worth it. Full nav equipment with auto pilot, radar, forward looking depth sounder, chart plotter. Replaced the previous Perkins 50 with a rebuilt of the same make and model. Less than 20 hours after rebuild. If interested call Sailboat Mike at Sea Lake Yachts 903-624-1799. Also you can see her at Yacht World YW#:80023-2798431.

Change of plans. Will be partnering and looking for a Florida boat. Any price under $70k that is well equipped, not a project and 36-42'. Must be clean, drafting under 5' and ready to cruise.

Not sure if you saw this, and maybe a touch too small?

Re: Cruising equipped 32-36 ft in Texas<40k

Thanks.

I'm really surprised to not find many options in Florida. Seasonally, when do you all see the most movement?

Recap- and a little different than title...

Looking for a Florida-close sloop/cutter boat 36-42 feet, 5ft draft max. We want it very close to turnkey. Would like cruiser equipped with adequate electronics and self-sufficiency. Let's just say we will pay more for newer and less for older . A refit older boat is nice- but we don't want a project. We aren't paying 40-50k for a 70s boat that needs much of anything. And we aren't paying over 70 unless she is in very good shape and younger than 2000 year.

I understand guys are fond of their boats, but I haven't seen realistic prices on mid 70s to 80s very often. I have had 3 sailboats and understand the mentality.
