Victron BMV-700 settings for solar

Boat: Bristol 30
Solar array: 100w amorphous silicone, mounted on bimini with frequent partial shading - wired in parallel to single mppt
Battery moniter: Victron BMV-700
Bank monitered: x2 79AH 12V AGM
At dock: connected to ProSport 12 charger

I haven't properly set up the Victron moniter yet. I am a bit confused on what I need to do. While working on my boat today, my moniter went from 80% to 100%, so I know I don't have this set up right. From my reading of the manual, I should do the following -

Set 'charged voltage' to slightly under absorption voltage (my understanding is that this should be set around 14.2v). If my solar ever fails for an appreciable amount of time, I should change this to 13.2v.

Charged detection time should be set from default 3 minutes to something higher (I am thinking 10 minutes)

Tail current should be decreased - my 'wattsup' display shows my solar charges anything from 0.5 amps to 2+ amps, so I should set my tail current to as low as possible (0.5%) - I am very unsure what to do about this

After this settings are done, the moniter should auto-syncronize.
I could cover the panels, disconnect the panels, let my battery charger charge overnight, then syncro the moniter as well.

Do I have this right? Thanks in advance.

Maine Sail has a couple of articles on the Victron. Hard to find on his new site. Here;; https://marinehowto.com/programming-a-battery-monitor/

You will get better advice if you tell us the make and model of your AGM batteries. "AGM" is not specific enough to define the right voltages.

For everyone installing a battery monitor: The "Gotcha Algorithm" thread, a "MUST READ"
