Paper charts for Greece needed...

Where are you headed - no paper on board but we have sailed some of the islands and will be sailing the north east Greek coast this year and down thru the islands again to Crete and Rhodes

I have sailed all Greece multiple times just thinking that having some paper charts on top of the normal electronic is good practice

time-wise : I'm leaving French/Spanish border around 27th Jun and planing to be on Corfu about 5th-10th August...

A friend of mine has a paper for all the Greek Islands and it took a look and left them behind - they were really old data -- and really some question for them being that old

We use Navionics on our Raymarine chartplotter with a backup of OpenCPN with cm93 charts on a tablet and a laptop

I also use navionics on my mobile devices and have experience with Raymarine chartplotters and Standard Horizon chart plotters with c-map and the last 4 years I have a Garmin chartplotter with blue charts of all Med and Black sea...

if I need to compare them - the worse is by far the c-map, next average for navionics with some big mistakes especially for greek waters.. and garmin well ahead of the others - for electronic navigation and boat electronics including autopilots etc. from now on I would not move away from Garmin - love it !

the paper charts are just for pricipals- I buy them hopping no need to use them like insurance
