This is an excellent family cruiser with a diesel Yanmar 13hp, wheel steering, and a great aft berth. Amazing layout and great fun to sail!

I've just invested thousands in upgrades for extended cruising on the Great Lakes and now my wife and I have upgraded to a larger vessel.

The Mirage 30 has been very reliable for my wife and I. We have sailed over 100 days over the last two years on Lake Ontario. The new sails with full battens are performing better than expected. The sail maker from Performance Sails came to Whitby and got some perfect measurements. Ultimately we ended up with a perfect sized roach that clears the backstay and the head sail comes up to the tip of the stanchions so there is some visibility and easy to single hand all sails.

I've only been sailing for two years and I'm single handing this boat all over Lake Ontario. The key from me is the Raymarine Auto pilot and the self tailing dual speed winches.

The new B&G Zeus 2 chart plotter is simply amazing. I have all the manuals or you can download them on their website. It is truly a chart plotter made for sailing. I mounted it in a pod off the pedestal, which allows the pod to rotate and point to where ever you are on the boat.
