Short haul without re-painting

I've heard that if you haul out and the hull thoroughly dries, you have to repaint the bottom because the anti-fouling paint will be de-activated and no long work after going back in the water. Is this correct? How quickly do I need to get back in the water before I have to repaint? Is 4 days too long?

Re: Short haul without re-painting

When freshly painted you can wait up to 60 days for most hard paints, 4 days shouldn't hurt.

Antifouling may be recoated after the minimum time
