Wintering Lagoon 440 in Greece this winter

We are in Istanbul. We have 5 weeks before we return to Australia. I'm looking for somewhere to moor the boat in Greece for the winter without going too far south. It would need a 60ton travel lift for haul out when I return next year for general maintenance... Anybody?

Hi
Take a look at Olympic marina Lavrion.
Only 30 mins from Athens airport.

Quite a few cats in there already.

Why not winter ashore?

Yard very good and secure, and possibly cheaper than afloat.

Olympic is convenient but its a dead place to be in in summer. There is a cafe and no restaurant. Not a fun place to spend any time, even if it's just a week for maintenance

and EXPENSIVE!!!

I hauled out my 40 ft mono to replace the prop and it cost over €750 for 1 hour.

The best marinas in Greece are over in the Ionian. Lefkas marina is great if you are not regularly flying to and from your boat. There are two boat yards in Preveza that are cheap to keep a boat on the hard and Gouvia marina in Corfu where I'm based. Kefkas & Corfu will have the travel lifts you need and I noticed that Cleopatra in Preveza has a 300ton travel lift.

Lefkas/Preveza is an easy week from Athens or a bit less if you motor every day. Corfu is 1 long day motoring further.

There is Samos Marina. It has an 80ton lift. Just as I left it was "dying" and in Greek fashion they tried to make up for the loss of boats by increasing their rates, which accelerated the loss. I've since heard that common sense may now have prevailed and the rates dropped.
