Fall/Spring Housecleaning

When it comes to seasonal "house" cleaning, and we are talking just about the living areas of the boat, what are those steps you would do/ should do but forget, neglect or didn't know about? Example might be cleaning refrigeration coils or the sump under the shower. Anyone?

Re: Fall/Spring Housecleaning

Maintenance on anything is easier when kept up with. I am a "car" guy and one of the worst things about working on other people's cars is the underbody and engine are usually caked in grime.

I power wash the underboady of my car every car wash and routinely power wash the engine, like at least every oil change.

When I owed Relax Lah the bilges and engine bay was routinely cleaned.

So other than the usual suspects in the salons and cabins, fridges, heads, etc. I would add underfloor storage, bilges and engine room to the spring cleaning list.

My "seasonal" thing is to change the standard house type filters I have on the air conditioners and the refrigerator (much less trouble than clean the coils is to not let them get dirty to start with)
