Does anyone have experience truly deep
cleaning fiberglass fresh
water tanks?
I've recently purchased a sailboat with two fresh
water tanks. After emptying them, pouring bleach into them, then thoroughly
flushing them with fresh water, the nasty bacteria is gone, but lots of white filmy floating debris is throughout the water.
The flow pressure when either the water valves are opened or the water lines are emptied into the
bilge is not enough to flush out the debris. The debris just floats and then settles back into the fresh water coming in.
How have you cleaned your tanks and created spaces for fresh water to be as clean as possible?
Thank you.
