California to Virgin Islands

I need to get a 40' Cat from California to Virgin Islands and would like to know best dates, best route, time it took, past experiences or a name of a ship transport.

Wow, this is a hard decision. If it is your boat, you love to sail and have the time, take the boat to Virgin yourself and have the best time of your life. If none of above, buy a cat in Caribbean and start enjoying the boat instead of worrying about her.

Or ship her across the country and sail her to Virgin from Florida, less tear and wear, but need to do a thorny path.
