Live aboard Alaska worked on the sea new to sail

i used to think i knew everything about this part of the world then i went sailing in 2014 i joined the cruiser forum back then i am very glad i did mostly i have found that unless boat make or engine make specific if i look through the forum most of the questions have been asked and answered but that said sailing is so much more in-depth than most of the power boats i have worked on in that well done properly i know they can be safer but incorrectly and i could be in a big hurt fast so anyways i don't know if i ever properly introduced my self my name is renn and i already have many persons to thank for helping me get over some of the more difficult learning curves that i know are endless
any body heading up to alaska well i am in southeast in craig alaska just message me and we can swap stories and intel

Welcome Renn! As to learning the sailing thing, from what you've stated, you've already got some common sense, & sea sense under your belt. Most of which transfers directly. And the sailing specific stuff usually happens slowly enough not to be a big surprise... knock on wood. Though as with most things, you can at times see events coming, & only do your level best to mitigate them. In time, learning to avoid them earlier, & earlier.
Or as another CF member's siggy line states: "It's like fun, only different".

May need crew for a leg or 2... If you have some time. Just tossing ideas, maybe I could drop off\pick up you in craig. Keep in touch.
