A tragedy in Kemah Texas

It is with a very heavy heart that I report that CF member Mimsy and her husband Mark have lost their beautiful 5 year old daughter Kitty to an accident on the dock in Kemah, Texas. The family had been preparing for an extended cruise starting in the fall. Kitty had just had her 5th birthday the day before. The accident happened on the 22nd and she was found on the morning of the 23rd. Kitty was a real special girl. Mimsy and her husband are very good people. Some here may have been following Mimsy's blog at Our Life with Ceol Mor
If anyone would like to help there is a gofundme page setup at: OFFICIAL Fund for Kitty Carroll by Allison Craig - GoFundMe
There is also a memorial facebook page with details on the memorial service at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/In-me...29109843838663

So, So Sad. I had no idea Kitty was Mimsy's daughter.

I hope I don't come across as, well, inappropriate. I, as well as many others I am sure, have been following the blog of Ceol Mor. I have very much enjoyed reading the family's blog and have developed a special on-line affection for this little girl. I am heart broken over this very sad occurance and extend my heartfelt sympathy for her family. She is a bright star among so many otherwise low spots in our lives.
My first soon-to-be grandchild was recently miscarried - it is so hard to imagine the sadness the family is going through.
May your hearts give rise to knowing she lived a life full of adventure and love.

Tragic loss. Ive lost a spouse and can only imagine what it must be like to lose a child.

In the hope that others may learn from this, does anyone know the details of the accident?

So very, very sad. I pray their close and nearby friends can warm their memories and keep them together. The docks can take any of us, and have from time to time. No seconds to guess, just empty hearts.

My condolences to all who knew her. She looks like she was a shining light. I cannot imagine the loss her family must feel.

Has anyone checked for stray electric currents? It seems odd a 5 year old wouldn't know how to swim and was unable to call for help.
