I surveyed a
Lagoon 450F in
Fiji in March and one thing I noticed was that the
plywood bulkheads were not resin coated right down to the
bilge. The
fiberglass work around the
rudder posts was pretty average as well, the aft cabinet on the starboard side of the main
cabin had come away from the rest of the woodwork as well. A lot of the bulkheads are just coved into the
hull and only the main bulkheads are tabbed in. I am not a fan of this but it sems to
work. This
lagoon needed all new
engine room
insulation after only 8 years.
