pirate Greetings from a Searunner Trimaran owner

I've lurked long enough on this site. Glad to join! I've owned and sailed a Jim Brown Searunner 37 Trimaran for the past 12 years. The boat is home ported in Norfolk, Va. I didn't realize when my wife and I bought the boat that we had joined a cult. On our 1st sail we ran into two other 37's. Both owners have become close friends. It wasn't long before we met Jim who lives nearby. We started having some raft ups with SCRIMSHAW until Jim sold her.

Our boats name was Ocean Explorer and we rechristened her FURTHER named after the bus Ken Kesey and The Merry Pranksters drove across the US. Made famous by Tom Wolf's book The Electric Koolaid Acid Test.

The initial build of the boat was high quality. (1983) Pierre Morassy was the builder. (Toronto I think) He apparently built a 37 prior to our boat. So the learning curve was over. The boat has been maintained pretty well through 3 owners. We are the 4th owner. Looking forward to corresponding with others here.
