Marina WiFi connections

I just completed an install of a GrooveA 52ac antenna router w/ a Mikrotik hAP sc lite router.

At the dock the Groove picks up about 70 access points @ 2.4GHz and 50 or so @ 5GHz. Several are unlocked or Xfinitywfi and I can connect to them.

Except for the Marina APs! The Groove doesn't see them at all.

The marina is using some sort of Comcast distributed network over 4 dual band antenna each with a separate SSID. Each of those SSID appear to have the same IP. I can see and connect to these with laptops, phones, etc. but not the Groove.

Anyone aware of AP's that can discriminate in this manner?

Re: Marina WiFi connections

There is the possibility that the Marina is not transmitting AC mode on 5GHz. If your other devices are seeing the Marina but not the Groove, try changing the the mode on the Groove to Mixed Mode on 5GHz.

The reason I say this is I have an AC1900 running at home. When I switch to AC mode on the router none of my devices will receive the signal. Simply because my devices do not have AC modes. When I switch to Mixed Mode, all my devices with 5GHz capability connect with no issues.
