Blue water cruiser swap for Costa Blanca Spain House

Hi all

Firstly I should say this is genuine (not that you need to believe me). I put my house on the market so that I can move my family onto a boat. I am a frustrated sailor (for several years) and want to get started.

Someone (genuine)out there is having trouble selling their yacht. I just need to find them.

I want to swap my 3 bed detached house in the Sunny Costa Blanca, Spain (320 days of sunshine a year), for a 14-24 metre (45-78 feet) blue water cruiser value €70 000 (plus cash) up to €125000 (US$80-150k). (The house is modern, mortgagable and due diligence will be carried out by both sides of course). Where online can I advertise this? surely someone has one for me?

Preferably a catamaran, but an old Oyster or a Jeanneau 45.2 upwards are my preferred choices if it has to be a mono. The only reason my house is on the market is to release the capital so I can buy the boat. I'd appreciate it if someone would let me know where else I can advertise this.

Can you sense my frustration?

Thanks for at least reading

Ahoy there,

I don't think that you'll find a used cat in that size range in that price range. Your best chances of finding a decent blue water vessel would be a monohull, where it's definitely doable. Why not put the house on the market while you pursue the possibility of barter? I've noticed that Cruising World sometimes has trade listings in its classified section. Good luck with your plans.
