Thumbs up 21 yr old musician ready to long-term sail in Sept 2017

ahoy sailors!

I'm a traveler, student and musician from the US but I'm currently based in Latin America.

I have basic sailing experience and years of bare-minimum traveling experience. I'm hoping to start crewing on a boat in September 2017 from anywhere near Panama (by near I mean within 1,000km like the Caribbean Islands/Cuba/etc. etc.) with a deadline of two years. Eventually, I'd like to cross the Pacific or Atlantic but I figure that might be an ambitious first goal.

I'm also open to helping anyone work on their docked boat for a couple of months in exchange for passage & I have the financial means to make small daily contributions.

I speak Spanish & English fluently, play (and sing) a mean guitar and am self-sufficient. Although I wouldn't call myself an experienced sailor, I'm ready to learn and relearn anything and everything.

Saludos!
Sophia

Sounds like a great adventure. Have you been travelling + playing the guitar to get by? I did that in Europe and it worked out brilliantly so I was wondering how feasible it might be in Latin America?
Good luck with the sailing! In my experience the best way is to just hang out in local marinas but you might get lucky on here
