Fun Book for Cruisers

Many of you cruisers constantly talk about fixing/maintaining your systems/equipment in far away places where you cannot just run to the OEM or hardware store for parts

Sometimes the broken equipment is critical to your vessel and you have to fix it or rig something to continue your voyage

That's why I'm recommending this book: The Martian by Andy Weir.

It's about an Astronaut that got left behind on Mars and has to somehow survive until a rescue mission can be put together

The movie is one of the best screen adaptations of a SciFi novel I have ever seen. I highly recommend watching it.

Yep, the movie was awesome also.

I saw it in a theater the first time but may have to rent it since the book has me interested again.

One slight difference in the book that could have really created some serious problems with his life support (solar panel charge interference, etc) had he not again figured out an alternative
