FOR SALE:

Self-Steering windvane system, South Atlantic model S440 for boats up to 40ft. GREAT CONDITION. ORIGINALLY PRICED AT $1,500...NOW ONLY $1,150 (new cost...about $2,600US).

All factory parts + steering wheel capstan (new from factory, a $385 add-on) to provide additional leverage to the steering system on a passage. It works great and needs little, if any, re-trimming once set. Its taken me and my CAL 39 MKII across the Atlantic and later across the Gulf of Mexico to Belize, but my blue water passage-making days are behind me. User's instruction & assembly pdf file included with sale.

Unit is in GREAT condition. All original factory equip + steering wheel capstan for added leverage boost ($385 add-on) included. User's manual incl. as pdf on a flash drive.

I've used this on my CAL 39MKII (basically a 40'sloop) on 1 round trip across the Atlantic and 1 across the Gulf of Mexico to Belize. Once adjusted it requires little attention, and it will steer you consistently at the set angle to the wind.

This posting is in the process of being deleted because there was a glitch when I tried to upload the pix from my computer. The other posting today at 1303hrs has the attachments described.
