My name is Alexandra and this is my first post as a registered member - long time listener, first time caller :-)

My partner(32) and I (27) are on a round the world 12 month trip from Australia celebrating the completion of my PHD.

We have just started our adventure in Rio de Janeiro with Carnaval and have plans to travel South America for the next 4 months before departing for Europe to travel the next 8 months.

We don't have much experience beyond a few crewed charters and some twilight sailing at the local sailing club back home however we love the lifestyle that that sailing community have shared with us so far.

We are quick learners, in great shape, good cooks who are willing to share expenses.

Have a great time. You're at the perfect point in your life to truly enjoy it without many hardships.

Whatever you do, make sure that you cruise the South Pacific before it becomes as commercialized as the rest of the world. And if you can, get to Turkey and eat, eat, eat.
