Sailboat shows in Canada

Anyone have any recommendations for boat shows
in Canada after New Years?
Getting the itch to look at sailboats ⛵️

The two I know of are in Toronto in January and Montréal early February.

I plan to visit both, but not to see the sailboats: the Toronto show doesn't appear to have a lot on display, and in Montréal last year there was one. Apparently that's not where the market is these days.

Jan 18th to the 22nd, there is a boat show in Vancouver, has anyone been to this one?

Been to both Vancouver, and Toronto's as well as the Victoria one in the spring.

The nice thing about the Vancouver show is the boats are all in the water. You can better evaluate sail plan, rigging, blindspots, etc than in Toronto where its all indoors and is essentially a show to check out the layouts.

The Toronto show though has slightly more variety with vendors selling to existing boaters when looking at marine gear, clothes and electronics.

If I could only do one I'd likely go to the Vancouver show as the weather is a lot nicer than in Toronto normally in January, and take a side trip to Whistler or Victoria. If you are seriously boat shopping, nothing beat Annapolis MD.

Toronto used to claim (maybe still does) that it is the largest indoor boat show in North America. I’ve been there a number of times. Motor dominates. Sail is relegated to a much smaller section, but it’s pretty good on the chandlery side. Lots of vendors.

IN the 70,s and 80,s sailboats far out numbered motor boats with lots of Canadian manufacturers C+C ,CS,NIAGARA ,HINTERHALLER ,BAYFIELD,TANZER,GRAMPIAN,ONTARIO YACHTS. Now there are almost no sailboats mfg here.
The market for boats really skewed to motor yachts. If I really wanted to see sailboats Annapolis is the place to go, or since the op is looking after New Years maybe Miami.
