There is a lot of
history to
abaco. Just north of treasure cay beach is sand bank where the first settlers landed. Also there is a blue hole or sink where settlers obtained fresh
water. Close to green turtle
dock on

Abaco parrots are unique and can ven seen in southern abaco. On man-o-war cay is albury
boat works famous for making boats for many generations and still do.
Just south of marsh harbour is a deep
water port that was developed by owen corning, chicago. They started farming and sugar plantations on abaco and left in mid 50's.

books on early history of abaco.
Green turtle was the commerce centre at one time and Lord Chamberlaine visited and had a form of residence in the late 30's. Closely connected to Britian.
