Also is the headroom above the bunks much different? Instead of fore and aft facing bunks like on the 380, the 410 has bunks at 90 degrees to the hulls. Is this a major drawback? The galley looks larger on the 410 and the increased waterline should help it perform better under sail. By the way, my budget is up to $250k, so I am considering 10 year old boats, and having a hard time finding a Lagoon 380 S2 owner's version that has never been chartered. Thanks for your comments.

Engine access on the 410 is not an issue. There is ample room for normal
maintenance tasks. You just need to be careful with
oil, grease, collant etc. The only problem is that in case you need a
mechanic these folks run through your living room to
work in your bedroom. These folks rarely have clean hands and never clean up afterwards. So do everything yourself if you can.
If you really need to take out an engine thats not a big deal. There are access panelsin the
hull, you just take of the ceiling liners and cut away the
sealant around the panel to open it.
Preparation and cleanup takes a caring owner half a day but taking out the engine is easy.
We had it done and it was a non-event.
The bunks were OK for us, YMMV.
Galley and
salon are certainly larger on a 410. The
cockpit is much bigger and better layed out than a 380. Cabins are roughly the same but the
head on the 2-head layout of the 410 is way more comfortable than the
head on a normal
charter layout ofthe 380.
