Hi,
I am looking for a crew to help me out with the
Baja Bash from
La Paz or Cabo to
San Diego. I plan on leaving around June 30th,
weather permitting (I will be closely monitoring the
weather given the season). The bash is typically a lot of motoring, and although I would prefer to sail, I am opting for the direct
route for time and
safety reasons. I would plan for 2 weeks as a time frame (more or less). I did a
delivery late in the season (Late July) a few years back and did not encounter much of a bash at all (no
wind, glassy seas, easy motor). Hopefully, this will be the same.
I would prefer someone with experience, particularly in watch keeping. I am a 100 ton licensed
Captain and quite capable to run my vessel, but I really would like another set of eyes. I am happy to teach if that is something you are interested in. Most of all, I am looking for a laid back,
safety conscious individual that I can count on to keep watch.
The
boat is a 1978 Acapulco
cutter 40' that has recently been restored. Everything has been replaced recently, so she is solid. Very comfortable, heavy, safe
boat. Please PM me if you are interested or have any questions. Thanks.
Mike
