2006 Lagoon 440 Owners Version - forced sale

Due to my recent diagnosis with terminal bone cancer and subsequently having to return home to Australia, our beautiful 3 cabin owners version 2006 Lagoon 44' sailing cat is listed for sale where she lays in the SW Caribbean near the San Blas Islands. "Finally My Darling" (FMD) was purchased from its original owner in Sibenik in Croatia early 2013, and has since cruised the Med, crossed the Atlantic, and cruised the entire Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Jamaica. FMD is extensively fitted out for extended blue water cruising with 750W of solar, a 1200 aHr battery bank, and a 150 l/phr water maker. Powered by two 55 hp Volvo Penta diesels with S130 sail drives and Volvo folding props, FMD also has a new main, new foresail, and a huge para sail. Her standing and running rigging are all in top condition with numerous sheets and halyards replaced in the last 12 months. She comes complete with an 220V 11.5kVa Onan genset and an electric Bauer dive compressor. *Three complete sets of SCUBA onboard and may be included subject to negotiation. Based on a walk-off, walk-on sale, the boat is offered with all bedding, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and everything to make best use of the well appointed galley. All electronics are from Raymarine with two chart plotters, two VHF's, AIS with the latest 650B splitter. Four Raymarine personal Life-tags are also installed. FMD's 3.1M Highfield dinghy was added 2015 and is powered by a 2010 Honda BF20 Four-stroke motor. Hoisting the dinghy is a one-person task with a modified dinghy lift system. FMD's anchor is a 35 lb Rocna with 90M of 10 mm of stainless steel chain. Another 25 lb Rocna copy is carried as a spare anchor. All safety equipment including flares are up to date and FMD has an registered EPIRB. A near-new Iridium GO satellite link is also installed. All winches are electric Harken. Two SUP's. Some photos are included but a full description can be provided upon request. Check out our Blog at Finally My Darling. By negotiation, our highly experienced onboard crew can deliver to anywhere in the Caribbean. The very realistic asking price with absolutely nothing else to spend is USD$375,000.

Nice boat! More importantly, I'm very sorry to hear of your diagnosis and wish you nothing but the best.

I feel like you missed the part where the OP stated that they have terminal cancer and really needs to sell?

Re: 2006 Lagoon 440 Owners Version - forced sale

Col I have just stumbled across this very sad news. It must be devastating for you and your family.
Whilst we all must inevitably have to deal with our moment there is never really a right time. Especially even more so when you are out there living the dream.
I hope the remainder of your time is spent surrounded with your loved ones and that your personal journey is as comfortable as humanly possible.

What an absolute shame as you obviously have FMD in top condition and it appears it would tick most of the boxes for a very comfortable blue water cruising home.
Unfortunately she is out of my reach but I am sure there will be a willing buyer emerge for such a well equipped cruising cat at an attractive price.

I personally wish you the kindest regards and best wishes for the road that you must travel.

Although I love your boat and I am prepared to buy it, I hope it's no longer for sale as that means you will get to live your dream longer. If she ever comes up for sale in future please consider me. I am overseas at the moment but will be back in Oz on July 1 2017, my name is Frank, contact me on 61439496562.

I too wish you a long and happy life.

Hello,
I am in the Caribbean now, actively looking for a blue water equipped catamaran.
Is yours still for sale?
Thanks

Don't give up on the bone cancer... find new doctors and get into a research university. There are amazing breakthroughs in cancer happening as I type. My mother is almost a new person with all the medical things they have done for her Stage 4 lung cancer. She is able to live a good life, even if much of it is taken up by doctors appts and hospital stays.

Couldn't agree more! Research!!! Lemon peel, Gcmaf, hospital in Mexico, Budwig protocol, fasting, prayer etc. There are many options.
