power catamarans

I am looking to buy a power catamaran 50-63 f , and its my first buy. Usually i sail around Greece on a charter SAILING catamaran lagoon 40-44 or a fountain bajot salina48. I have no experience on power catamarans , and i do not no about the fuel consumption for these size boats . I have seen lagoon 63 and sunreef 60 ,any ideas or any other options?

Re: power catamarans

Privilege have re-launched their power cat range in the last year. Haven't seen anything other than cgi http://www.privilege-marine.com//upl...horia_4735.pdf but I imagine one or two will have been launched by now. 50ft and 60 ft available. Won't be cheap but will probably be the best built.

Re: power catamarans

Might want to look at the Leopard 51PC. I have toured one (and going for a ride soon) - quite comfy and nice enough for the Admiral to be interested in learning more about them.

As for the fuel economy, I want to say that we were told it would easily transit from New England to Ft Lauderdale on a tank if you stayed at cruise (which was 8 knots, I think) and that the tankage was 400 gallons.

Good luck!
