A ready market awaits an experienced rigger in Far North Queensland

Any yachtie who has spent some time in the Cairns region may have come across just about the only option to have their standing rigging inspected/replaced/tuned in the vicinity, for which a trip up to Port Douglas is necessary. If you know the area, you'll know his name, so I won't mention it in case he doesn't want me to. Anyway, I was speaking with him a few weeks ago, and he told me he is retiring at the end of the year. This is quite dire for Cairns, and I would ask any experienced riggers who feel that they might like to live in this beautiful part of the world to come and set up business here. I am sure you will have plenty of work. Peter (oops) told me he had had 2 weeks holiday in 50 years, and knowing his reputation, I believe him.
