I am a professional ski coach looking to rent a Sailboat or Houseboat for the summer, anywhere in North America. I have grown up on boats living on the coast of Massachusetts lobstering, fishing, and navigating oceans, rivers, and lakes. I understand and appreciate the necessity of boat maintenance and would be happy to contribute to improving the condition of the boat. I have several years of professional experience in property management, giving me an understanding of leases and resident qualifications. I am a very respectful, outgoing, and resourceful person.

It would be helpful to owners who might consider letting their boat out, to have an idea of your dates. Also, do you want to actually go anywhere, or just use it as a lodging, as in the case of a houseboat? You also don’t mention how many people, how many bedrooms or how large you would like the vessel to be?
I suspect most owners of insured boats will be unable to do it, even if they wanted to, because most insurers exclude “chartering,” which is effectively what you are trying to do.
Try approaching an actual charter company in the area you want. They might give you an extended period, especially if you don’t want to actually go anywhere in the boat.
