Texas Area - Gulf of Mexico

i am living in arkansas at the moment while building a 29' cutter. i am looking at launching it in texas when i am ready. in the mean time i am looking to make some new friends in and around freeport texas and hope to get a chance to go for a day sail with someone and also get to know the area pretty good. if there is anyone that likes classic wooden sailboats and would like to become friends, i would love to meet you.
i am a carpenter and i enjoy working with wood and i love the sailing and cruising life style........jim

Jim,
I'm nowhere near TEXAS, but I would love to see some pictures of your work-In-progress.
Duke.

Welcome aboard. We are in the middle if refit and it's a bit crazy for us, but we would be glad to give you any info for spashing your vessel and such. Be sure to check with the Corpus Christie yacht club, great, down to earth folks. Also, we have a Texas group here and be sure to check the destination page here too.
