Registering my boat for cruising

I'll be taking my 30' cruiser to the Bahamas this summer. Do I need more than my state registration documentation? Surely I don't need federal documentation from the Coast Guard?

State registration is fine.. you need a passport.. bring cash too. Bimini is good for check in especially if it is your first trip across

Thanks for that. I assumed so, but have never heard anyone clarify that statement of "registration."

I'm actually going to the Abacos so I'll be checking in at West End.
