28ft Dehler Duetta in the Caribbean

$22 000

Hey there guys. I purchased Luremusa here in Bergen in January 2016 with the plan to just keep sailing round the world until i found a reason to stop. Well apparently, I found a reason as I will be selling her (begrudgingly) in the Caribbean and heading back to Europe to live a different dream.
Anyhow, heres the deal:
She is an amazing, small, ocean ready, well maintaines yacht perfect for up to 3 crew who are keen to get out there, cross oceans and see the world. Since buying her, I have installed a new removable inner forstay to fly a second genoa or a storm sail, a windvane (priceless bit of kit), had the rudder dropped out and relubricated and sealed, new prop shaft bearings, added 160w of solar power and a battery selector switch, swapped the old parafin cooker out with a propane one, added a cooler box (there are a couple of problems with powering the thing away from land), added a vhf and installed the antennae, redid the reefing system and got a 3rd reef added to the mainsail, installed a manuel water pump to the galley, added new rope clutches, resealed everything and generally kept everything very well maintained, as should be expected and is required to be done if you are on any sort of serious trip. The main point is, everything works. Everything is good to go. There are no more kinks. This boat is ready for passage.

Currently i am anchered in Praia habour, Cape Verde (where my outboard has been stolen but don't stress because i am getting another one) and in a couple of days will be setting sale for the Caribbean. After arrival in the Caribbean i will be looking at offers for the boat and am more than happy to answer any questions and in the case of buying the vessel, arranging a place for that to happen and potential storage. May i recommend somewhere south of the hurricane belt or in at Panama to head through the canal and continue my journey west! Hope to hear from you guys!

News on the vessels is that we will be moving to Martinique and hanging around there for a while. From there the boat will have a price of €14000 on it. Picking up new steering lines in Grenada and an outboard.

So how did she handle the Atlantic crossing?

Sounds like a great little boat. I'm not in the market right now, but lord, someone should jump on this!
