Boat Show Cape Town South Africa

Just been to see our little boat show and was impressed by the range of catamarans on show. It's a small show.

The Leopard 45 was excellent and well constructed, the Lagoon 42 never made the show and the FP Lucia although very nice had absolutely shocking finishing. The laminated wood was already peeling on a new boat and the latches were very flimsy. What an eye opener from just seeing these boats on YouTube.

I also went past, a nice selection of cats. The Maverick looked amazing and quality wise was streets ahead of all the mass produced boats at first glance and even more so if you start digging in corners. I was pretty shocked at the Lagoon 39 ito quality. A lot of the inside fittings were already pitted with corrosion and the saloon windows already had cracks in every joint between the windows. I did not go on the Two Ocean Cat as the queue was too long, it looked massive though.

Hello Paulrack, I am looking into a Maverick I know back in '09 you bought one so I guess I was reading your posting but you never got back as far as performance or anything so I was thinking it didn't do so good? Now I'm starting to wonder...?? If you're still a member here let me know thank you
