Trucking a sailboat on the east coast.

Are there any recommendations for shippers for a midsize - 34' full keel, 10'6 beam, sailboat from Northern Florida to NJ? Any experience with recent rates? Thanks

Not offhand. But often if you are flexible and can say "I need it moved anytime in these four (eight) weeks" they can use your load to fill an otherwise empty return trip, and they'll give you a discount for that. No matter who you use, make sure they are insured and licensed, and try to physically BE THERE to inspect the boat at both ends of the trip. If someone else signs off on it and misses any damage, you can be stuck.

Where to in NJ? There's a father son team just outside of Cape May that my uncle's marina has used for years. They've been the go to guys for years around here and I've never heard a complaint. I know it's bad but l can't remember their name but if you're local to SNJ I can give you directions to their office. As for pricing, they're competitive and about as low as anybody that's worth using.

I wanted to add that they've hauled at least 6-8 boats for us over the years and as long as I have the option they'll haul my next boat if needed.

I recently used Ship To Shoreline out of St Augustine to ship 36’ sailboat from there to Illinois. 954.683.8358

I used Al shipping 3217947030. Least expensive guy I found.. I paid $3600 to haul a 43 from Beaufort SC to Lockwoods in CNJ/NNJ.. Call Al.. I'd use him again.. The guy knows every boat yard.. Or at least the ones that counted for me
