Chater from Antigua to Grenada or St Lucia to Grenada

Hi fellow sailors

We are contemplating chartering a bareboat in late Feb 2017 for 2 or 3 weeks. The current thoughts are sailing from Antigua all the way down to Grenada or shorten the trip and pick up the boat in St Lucia and sail for 2 weeks dropping the boat off in Grenada. We are 2 accomplished sailors so open water sailing isn't a problem, what we are wondering about is the Antigua to St Lucia leg a good run from a sailing and points of interest perspective? We assume a week to a week and a half should be enough time to get a good taste of the Islands. Or what are your thoughts about time sailing and exploring wise would be better spent spending 2 weeks from St Lucia to Grenada?

Any thoughts, experiences, must see places would be most welcomed.

Cheers

I think it becomes a matter of what your priorities are. Do you want to spend a lot of time sailing, or do you want to spend a lot of time seeing the islands? For example it would be easy to spend a week in Antigua, a week in Martinique, a week in the Grenadines, etc. There are a lot of great places along your itinerary and you won't be able to spend a lot of time in any of them. Some of our favorites are Les Saintes south of Guadaloupe, Le Marin in Martinique, Marigot Bay in St Lucia, Bequia and Carriacou in the Grneadines. It would be easy to spend two or three days in any of those places, not to mention some extra time in both Antigua and Grenada.
