wood rot in cockpit

have some rotten wood in the cockpit. I removed all the rotten wood but some of the wood is wet. I'm not I interested in removing the entire cockpit floor. can I just use rot epoxy (rot doctor) on the wet wood , drill holes in various and use rot doctor and replace the core that I have removed using thickened epoxy and new glass ?

also any recommendations on rot epoxy (water constancy)

Of course you can, but such a repair I think is more appropriate for a $2,000 trailer boat than a 40+foot ocean cruiser. Why worry about freeze, future rot, etc every time you think about it.

Can you approach the wet core from below? This leaves the top surface intact, not needing re-finishing, while potentially allowing for relatively sloppy glasswork underneath (if/when the undersurface is in an engine space or otherwise covered by overhead paneling).
