Mold For Hard Dodger for sale or build to order?

A mold for a hard dodger now exists with the following dimensions ... 8' athwartships, 58" deep, 21" high. My boat is 38' Newick trimaran but the dodger would be suitable for many types of boats both multis and monos. About 50 hours + materials into the mold. My dodger is carbon/foam/epoxy but other cheaper options exist. I might sell the mold outright, but the builders, experienced composite professionals, have expressed interest in building more. Mold is located in Yarmouth Maine. Just putting the word out to judge the level of interest.

Giving this a bump. Need it gone this summer. Great opportunity for someone wanting to make their own hard dodger. The mold can be inspected in Yarmouth Maine and l can answer any questions you might have regarding the construction process. You can also check out my finished dodger which turned out great. More pics and info if you do a search on Ebay.

What would it cost to have a carbon one built? Any pics of how it looks? Weight?

Re: Mold For Hard Dodger for sale or build to order?

Just a ballpark figure for materials for foam/carbon would be USD1500. It's the labour that adds up in a hurry. If you are truly interested in having one built, I can put you in touch with composite specialist here in Yarmouth ME and they can give you a quote. Never weighed it, but something under 50 pounds. The layup specs came from a Kiwi boatbuilder friend of mine who builds carbon composite marine stuff for southern ocean extremes. The dodger is bombproof. For pics, go to Ebay and search for Male Mold - Hard Dodger.
