Pacific Seacraft 37

Moderators, please remove if not appropriate.

Hi

I am, like many others, looking for a Pacific Seacraft 37 to buy. Anywhere within say, 4000 miles of Australia.

If you are looking for a quick cash sale please feel free to PM me.

Any help would be appreciated

James

Re: Pacific Seacraft 37

I did a quick look, but found naught. There's something of an owner's association, but it hardly looks well frequented Pacific Seacraft Owners Website

If you're truly desperate, you could put together a polite email, & fax, and send it to every marina within 10k km, stating that you're looking for one etc.
That, & or contact the factory, & "buy" your way to the head of the line. Or pick up a used one overseas, & have it delivered or shipped.
Also, it's not truly that unusual to start walking the docks, & if you find one, leave'em a nice note inside of a Ziploc bag. Plus as the marina to contact the owner with the info on your quest, & how to get a hold of you.

BTW, why that boat? It's not as if they have the corner on the market in terms of being passable cruisers.

This one's about as far away from you as you could get--but she looks barely broke in.

Re: Pacific Seacraft 37

Thanks, in answer to your question uncivilized, they do not corner the market on cruisers, BUT they do corner the market on boats my wife will like and I will like, after many years I will take that one any day.

I have done the dock walk for many hours, in many cities and countries. The only response I have received to date has been a phone call with an eye watering price consisting of 7 digits, they are everywhere.
Thanks for the advice, I will take all on board and will certainly look at sardinebreaths advert.

Thanks again

FYI, there are half a dozen or so on www.Yachtworld.com The catch being that they're in the US. So either you travel to the boat, or it travels to you. Need any help with that?

Mate, that is one of the constants in my life.

Thanks Uncivilized, I recently went and had a look at some on the West Coast, not as exciting as they sound

Re: Pacific Seacraft 37

HI,

I too have spent alot of time looking for a PSC37. It seems the owners are very proud of these boats.

In my search they either were extremely high priced or expensive, very tired and in need of more love than I was willing to give.

One thing I found interesting is that many of these boats have been on the market for a long time and the owners refuse to negoiate. I recently made an offer on a boat based on condition, work that needed to be done ( deferred mx, and comps of similar sales . The owner was offended and didnt even counter! I never seen a market so emotional. Rant over.

There was one for sale in Langkawi not long ago.

There are also a few on sailboatlistings.com that are not on yachtworld.

curious what was your price range?

Re: Pacific Seacraft 37

I have to agree, there is a truly passionate owners group out there, I guess as long as there are people like you and me knocking on the hull trying to get in they can continue to be passionate.

I am sure it will show up, eventually.

Re: Pacific Seacraft 37

It seems to me that if I approach the owner then the price quadruples, you know the saying, it's not for sale but everything has a price, if some fool is dumb enough to pay it!
