Where to keep my 42 Lagoon BVI,Bahamas or Florida

I am trying to decide on where to keep my Lagoon that I take delivery of next June.I have narrowed down to Bahamas BVI or Florida.I will be flying out from London UK.My kids will also use the Cat.My criteria are cost,maintenance good access by flights and easy day sailing (I am not the worlds createst sailor).I am concerned about Hurricanes and security.I do not plan to charter the Lagoon out but used by family and friends.The kids all like some decent bars and restaurants and night life.I have been searching web and info on marinas is not great.I guess my ultmate dream when I slow down at work would be to buy a small property with its own mooring.Would really apprciate any advice.

Sail Caribe in Fajardo, Puerto Rico keeps an eye on boats. Gorgeous marina facility. Flights to PR cost 50% less than the nearby BVI. Easy sailing.
